據(jù)印度媒體報道，印度細胞和分子生物中心的科學家表示，在印度南部的一些邦，此前被媒體稱為“雙突變病毒”的新冠病毒變異株B.1.617已成為當?shù)貍鞑サ闹饕儺惗局?。這種變異毒株攜帶E484Q和L452R突變，可能導致免疫逃逸和傳染性增強。在印度南部的卡納塔克邦、安得拉邦和特倫甘納邦，B.1.617現(xiàn)在正占據(jù)主導地位。

According to Indian media reports, scientists from the Center for Cell and Molecular Biology of India said that in some states in southern India, the new coronavirus mutant strain B.1.617, previously called a "double mutant virus" by the media, has become the main mutant strain spread locally. This mutant strain carries E484Q and L452R mutations, which may lead to immune escape and increased infectivity. In the southern Indian states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, B.1.617 is now dominating.

安貝德卡爾醫(yī)院主任醫(yī)師馬尼說：“醫(yī)院現(xiàn)在有約300張病床，其中200多張被占用（雖然還剩幾十張床位），但我們卻不能接收更多的患者，主要原因是氧氣供應緊張，目前供應商給我們院方提供的氧氣，根本滿足不了我們的需求。”

Mani, Chief Physician at Ambedkar Hospital, said: “The hospital now has about 300 beds, of which more than 200 are occupied (although there are dozens of beds left), but we cannot accept more patients. The main reason is oxygen. The supply is tight, and the oxygen provided by the supplier to our hospital at present cannot meet our needs at all."
