《古蘭經(jīng)》中提到，穆斯林女子，除在丈夫和其他親人面前之外，當(dāng)俯首下視，遮其羞體，將頭巾垂至衣襟，不表露美艷與裝飾。中國(guó)封建社會(huì)有"女為悅己者容"一說(shuō)。伊斯蘭教教規(guī)實(shí)際上是主張女人的身段和容貌只屬于丈夫，不能展示于外人。而這個(gè)‘羞體’，指得就是除了面部和手部以外的所有部分。也就是說(shuō)，伊斯蘭教里并沒有規(guī)定女性必須蒙臉。所以很多人對(duì)穆斯林女人的概念就是“只露兩只眼睛”的想法，是有些片面的。

當(dāng)然了，在阿拉伯生活著，這里的確是有很多女性真的只露兩只眼睛，他們?cè)谕饷娉詵|西的時(shí)候會(huì)從面巾下面伸進(jìn)去，把食物送到嘴里，但在外人看來(lái)自然是看不見她們吞吞吐吐的啦。我認(rèn)識(shí)的人里面就有遮面的女性，因?yàn)樗齻兊难b束我一開始也會(huì)認(rèn)為她們是很死板的人，可相處了才發(fā)現(xiàn)，其實(shí)根本不是呢。 中東國(guó)家大多信奉伊斯蘭教，而伊斯蘭教又對(duì)婦女有嚴(yán)厲的規(guī)矩準(zhǔn)則， 從婚姻方面說(shuō)：一、伊斯蘭教禁止有生育能力的穆斯林不娶不嫁，一夫多妻是人類的一種古老而普遍的現(xiàn)象，伊斯蘭教不鼓勵(lì)而是有條件的允許多妻，原因是由于長(zhǎng)期的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)使男子大量死亡，許多婦女成為寡婦難以出嫁，而游牧經(jīng)濟(jì)又是婦女的勞動(dòng)及謀生受到很大的限制，一般最多只允許1個(gè)男子娶4個(gè)妻子。但到目前為止，一夫一妻制的家庭在穆斯林國(guó)家正在逐漸的普及開來(lái)。
